Daniel Fleischauer of North Branford pleaded guilty in New Haven district court to enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity.
Between 2013 and 2017, Fleischauer communicated with underage girls on Internet applications such as Kik and Cypher.
At times, the conversations involved sexual topics. While speaking with the girls, Fleischauer sent sexually explicit photos to the minors and he requested and received images and videos of the girls engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Fleischauer believed that one of the minors was under the age of 12, U.S. Attorney John Durham, noted.
Fleischauer, 32, has been detained since he was arrested on Dec. 13 last year. Fleischauer is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 7 next year, when he will face a term of between 10 years and life in prison.
